Lower-Division Curriculum Committee

Our first LDCC meeting for the Spring 2012 semester will be Tuesday, Feb 29 at 12pm. We will discuss the following agenda:

The LDCC will meet again on Friday, Nov. 11 at 9am to discuss the following agenda items:
(1) Approval of the minutes for the Oct. 7 meeting.

The LDCC will meet on Oct. 7, at 9am in PAR 5 to discuss the following agenda:

1. Approval of the minutes for the May 22, 2011 meeting

2. Constitution of standing sub-committees: The Custom Textbook Committee and the RHE 309K Proposal Review Committee (Longaker)

3. Formation of new sub-committees: RHE 309S Syllabus Committee; Handbook Review Committee (Longaker)

The Curriculum Committee will meet on April 22nd, to discuss the following agenda items:
1) Approval of minutes for Nov. 19, 2010 meeting
2) RHE 309K (option to repeat for credit) (Longaker and Duke)
3) Report on progress towards custom edition of Critical Situations for RHE 306 (Foley and Eatman)

The Curriculum Committee will meet on Nov. 19 to discuss the following agenda items:
1) Approval of minutes for Oct. 22, 2010 meeting
2) Report on faculty's decision about LR pilot in RHE 306. (Longaker)
3) Options for RHE 306 custom textbook: Recommendation Report from Subcommittee on Custom Publishing (Spinuzzi)

The LDCC will meet next on Oct. 22, at 3pm in PAR 6 to discuss the following agenda items:
1) Approval of minutes for meeting held on Oct. 12
2) Discussion of RHE 306 assessment plan.
3) Discussion of plan to produce in-house textbook for RHE 306

The LDCC will meet for the first time in the fall of 2010 on October 1, 4pm, in PAR 6. Our agenda is as follows:
(1) Review minutes from last LDCC meeting.
(2) Appoint a committee to reconsider assessment in RHE 306.
(3) Discuss the prospect of local textbook production for RHE 306.

The UCC will meet for the second (and last) time during the spring semester of 2010 on April 23rd in Parlin 5 at 2pm to address the following agenda:
(1) Approval of Feb 26, 2010 minutes.
(2) Revised Assignment and Unit descriptions for second essay and second unit in RHE 306 (Longaker, McCarthy, Mitchell, and Gatten)
(3) Future of the FYF program (Longaker)
(4) Assessment of RHE 306 (within the course and the college (Longaker)

The UCC will next meet on Friday at 2pm in PAR 5 to discuss the following agenda items:
(1) Approval of minutes for last meeting
(2)Report on First-Year Forum Event (food expert roundtable) (Matt King)
(3) Informal report on findings of the handbook committee (Matt King)
(4) What changes (if any) to recommend to the handbook requirement (Longaker)
(5) Rewriting the Assignment 2 prompt for RHE 306 (Longaker)

The UCC will meet for the first time in the fall 09 semester to discuss the following agenda:
(1) Approval minutes from May 8 UCC meeting
(2) Introduction to UCC and update on last semester's projects: syllabus vetting, textbook review, guide to lower-division instructors.
(3) Report on DRW Instructor Handbook (King)
(4) Format for First-Year Forum event in Fall 09 and spring (Longaker/King)
(5) FYF selection report (King)
