Betty Sue Flowers
Director of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum
Dr. Betty Sue Flowers was the keynote speaker at the annual end-of-conference CCTE luncheon on March 7, 2008, in Austin, Texas. Dr. Flowers has been director of the LBJ Library since 2002. Prior to her appointment, she was an award-winning professor of English at the University of Texas at Austin, an associate dean of Liberal Arts and director of the prestigious Plan II Program. She is the author of numerous books and articles, including an annotated edition of Christina Rosetti’s poetry, a critical volume on Robert Browning, and a series of works co-authored with Bill Moyers including Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth. She has been deeply involved in the international development of global scenarios describing the world as it may be in the next thirty years.
